Council autumn meeting 18 November
Next year’s Action Plan focuses especially on preparations for the parliamentary elections and TREY’s next strategy period. In addition, next year’s Action Plan will focus on strengthening the Student Union’s and associations’ communication cooperation, completing some major projects in the association sector, and strengthening democracy in our university community. The approved budget supports and provides a framework for the implementation of the operations. The Student Union membership fee for the academic year 2026–2027 is 65 euros for degree students and 35 euros for doctoral students, so the membership fee will stay the same. The budget for 2026 is 61 900 euros in deficit. Next year, the Student Union’s financial adjustment needs will be examined and possible financial cuts will be brought to the Council to decide on.
The Council elected some committees subordinate to the Council, as well. Aino Närhi, Vili Olkkonen, Sara Palin, Tami Nordström (deputy member Olavi Latukka), staff members Teemu Juutilainen and Ilona Taubert, as well as Secretary General Adam Zeidan, were elected to the Strategy Committee.
