New student representatives in administration (halloped) will be selected in autumn 2026. We are looking for members for the Election Committee, that will be working under the Executive Board of TREY!
The Election Committee will be involved in processing the halloped applications and prepares a proposal of selection for the Board. The Executive Board of TREY has opened a call for applications to the Election Committee in its meeting 11/2026 for the period of 7–20 April 2026.
The Board is looking for five full members along with general deputy members for the Election Committee. In addition to these, the Board will appoint two representatives from among themselves to the Committee with deputy members for each representative. Applications to the Election Committee can be submitted both in Finnish and in English.
The duties of the Election Committee include processing the applications and making a justified proposal to the Executive Board of TREY on the persons to be selected as student representatives to the Faculty Councils. Acting in the Election Committee does not require comprehensive expertise in educational affairs; the most important thing is to understand the halloped system and an interest in the matter, as well as time and a fairly flexible schedule for the meetings.
The application period for the Election Committee ends on 20 April 2024. The application must clearly state the applicant’s interest in the position, as well as motivation and relevant experience for the role. Every required field in the application must be filled. A student acting in the Election Committee cannot apply to act as a student representative in the Faculty Councils in the application period of autumn 2026.
The Election Committee is appointed by the Executive Board of TREY. The Executive Board will also name a chair and a vice chair from the members of the Committee.
