Is the dreary autumn getting you down? Are you looking for fun activities to support your well-being during the darkest time of the year?

Wellbeing Week is here again to cheer up students from October 19 to 24!

Wellbeing Week is an annual event organized jointly by the Student Union of the University of Tampere and the Student Union of Tampere University of Applied Sciences, bringing together 37 wellbeing events from Tampere Universities community. The program includes for example volleyball, crafts, baking, sauna, walking and running, and even breakfast. Something for everyone! The events are open for all higher education students in Tampere.

This year’s theme is “Hope for the Future”, focusing on building confidence in our own potential, in the common good, and in the belief that tomorrow can be better than today. The purpose of the theme is to remind us that there is hope even in times of uncertainty and to encourage students to reflect on the actions and choices that help sustain that hope.

Check out the program, mark the events that interest you in your calendar, and come along to take care of your wellbeing! All events are affordable or free of charge.

Participating in a Wellbeing Week events will also earn teekkari fuksis fuksipoints based on how many events they participate in!

The market is held from 5–9 October 2026 at our Hervanta Service Office. The market is open during the Service Office opening hours. You are welcome to buy, sell or why not both!

If you started completing your first degree at an institution of higher education in the autumn semester 2026, you can now complete the HealthStart questionnaire in YTHSDigi. After completing the HealthStart questionnaire, you’ll receive feedback on your state of health and may be referred to health promotion services provided by the FSHS.

The health examination for first-year students begins with the HealthStart questionnaire, the aim of which is to help you and healthcare professionals check your health status and refer you to the appropriate services as early as possible at the beginning of your studies.

The HealthStart questionnaire examines your physical, mental and social health, as well as the key aspects of your health behavior and factors affecting your health, health behavior and ability to study.

International exchange student tutors needed for the spring semester 2027, search open October 1 – October 19!

A fresh batch of exchange students are arriving at Tampere University in January 2027, and we’re asking you to join us on a wild ride: want to help guide their first weeks at the university and in the city? We are recruiting student tutors from all associations and campuses between 1–19 October to tutor exchange students. International student tutoring offers fresh experiences, the opportunity to meet new people and a chance to practice your language skills! All the new tutors partake in a training session on 9 November.

Watches prohibited in EXAM rooms – please review the EXAM rules

The Tampere Higher Education Community is clarifying the practices related to electronic exams in TUNI EXAM in order to strengthen exam supervision, ensure consistent procedures, and clarify the ethical principles of studying. No watches of any kind may be brought into EXAM rooms, regardless of whether they have smart features or not. This means that both smartwatches and traditional watches are prohibited in EXAM rooms. The remaining exam time can be monitored on the computer screen during the exam.

You may only bring into the exam room a physical student card or official photo identification, a physical access card and the key to a storage locker, if applicable.

International Talents’ Mentoring Programme: Apply to be a mentee and get support from a mentor!

Are you an international degree student in the last stages of your studies? Would you like to get support from a mentor to reflect on your career goals and identify opportunities for job search in Finland? Applications are open 15.9.-15.10.2026. Apply now to become a mentee in the International Talents’ Mentoring Programme from January to April 2027.

International Talents’ Mentoring Programme is organized annually for TAU international students close to graduation. The mentoring programme aims to support the professional development of international talents, help them build professional networks, and enable them to share their international experiences with the mentors.

The mentors are experienced professionals in their own fields of specialty who, through the mentoring process, share their knowledge and skills with mentees at the beginning of their careers.
