The application period is from 29th October to 9th November. The Executive Board of TREY handles the applications and makes a proposal on selected members to the Council of Representatives. The council appoints the new members to the Central Election Committee and Editorial Board in its meeting 24.11.2026 and members to Financial Committee in its organisational meeting 1.12.2026.
What is it about?
The Central Election Committee operates under the Council of Representatives, and it works in accordance with the Election Rule. The committee makes decisions concerning the organising of the student union’s council elections and oversees the execution of the elections. The Central Election Committee is looking for seven members and deputy members, one of whom will be elected as chair. The members of the Central Election Committee must be members of the Student Union.
The Editorial Board is a working group operating under the Council of Representatives that has the decision-making authority on some matters concerning the student union magazine Visiiri. In addition, the editorial board participates in budgeting with the editor-in-chief. The Editorial Board is looking for five members, at least four of whom must be members of the Student Union. The Editorial Board will elect its own chairperson from among its members.
The Financial Committee operates under the Council of Representatives that makes statements to the Board or the Council about matters in its remit when needed or requested. The remit covers the Student Union’s financial affairs, the business activities carried out by the Student Union, and the immovable and movable property owned and managed by the Student Union. The Financial Committee is looking for 3–10 members, one of whom will be elected as chair. Both members of the Student Union and, for example, alumni of the Student Union may apply to join the Financial Committee.
