The application period for TREY’s Board 2026 has now begun! In TREY’s Board, you get to promote themes important to students, organize events, influence the affairs of our university and experience unique moments with student culture and advocacy!
The Board members manage the student union’s day-to-day activities with the student union’s specialists from TREY’s office in Hervanta. In addition to managing the day-to-day work and activities of the responsibility sectors, the Board carries out long-term student advocacy, represents the Student Union and is responsible for implementing the Action Plan.
Each member of the Executive Board is responsible for activities in one or more sectors. There are several sectors in the Student Union, including academic affairs, social welfare affairs, international affairs, organisational affairs, events, sports, corporate cooperation, development cooperation, environmental affairs, communication as well as municipal politics. The Board members work in collaboration with the Student Union’s Specialists. Despite the sector division, the members of the Executive Board work closely with each other and develop the Student Union.
TREY’s Executive Board is a working board, which means it is full-time work (30-35 hours weekly) with a year-round compensation, which was 1200 €/month for Board members and 1500 €/month for the Chair in year 2025. Members of the Board are also offered certain benefits, for example the Nysse annual card. Being on the Board means that, in principle, you are available for board activities and sector work during weekdays and during office hours (Mon-Fri 9 AM – 4 PM) and sometimes in the evenings, for example in events. When applying, it is worth noting that completing compulsory studies at the same time as being in the Board is challenging in terms of schedules and workload. The Board is chosen for one calendar year, but the orientation for next year’s tasks begins this year.
The application form can be filled until 3 November. It is possible to apply in the Council meeting on 19 November, as well. Read more about the Board’s work on TREY’s website and fill the application form by 3 November!
