The General Assembly of the National Union of University Students in Finland is currently in progress in Otaniemi, and the General Assembly has just elected SYL’s Board for the year 2026. One of the elected candidates is TREY’s Chair Laura Heino!
“I want to thank both our Council of Representatives and the General Assembly for placing your trust in me. I’m looking forward to the coming year and ready to promote my plans of working together and encouraging open dialogue from a Board member’s perspective. I rejoice in the opportunity to get to work for a better tomorrow for students!”, states Laura after the election.
The other candidates elected for the Board are Aada Aho (Student Union of the University of Turku), Viena Pentikäinen (Student Union of the University of Helsinki), Emilia Enroth (Student Union of the University of Eastern Finland), Marcell Berta (Aalto University Student Union) and Vilma Sippola (Student Union of the University of Oulu).
Yesterday, the General Assembly elected Petra Pulli from the Student Union of the University of Helsinki (HYY) as the President for next year.
