TREY’s Board has selected Noora Hakulinen, Tytti Lindberg and Roosa Rantala as Wappu directors! The most significant tasks of Wappu directors are the planning and organising of the Student Union’s wappu events and those organised in cooperation with the Teekkari Union of Tampere alongside coordinating the Teemu Tour and the events calendar. The Board appointed the Wappu directors at their meeting on 23.1.2025.
“I’m filled with enthusiasm and excitement. I can’t wait for the first time meeting with the entire team and start working. We’re going to have a memorable spring and we have an amazing team creating it!” TREY’s Board Events organiser Ina Lehtola celebrates.
Tytti Lindberg, 21, is a third year Scandinavian Languages student, and from the Wappu director’s work is really looking forward to seeing happy crowds and working together with fun people. “My own favourite wappu memory has to be my freshman Wappu generally, because everything was far bigger and magical than I could’ve imagined. I gained a lot of friends, closest friends and got to network like crazy”, Tytti characterises her favourite wappu memory.
Roosa Rantala, 23, is a fourth year Classroom Teacher student, and is the most excited about working with the team and the interdisciplinary Wappu spirit. Roosa’s favourite wappu memory is “the whole first Wappu and all the new exciting things!”
Noora Hakulinen, 25, is a sixth year Journalism student. From Wappu and the director’s work she especially expects happy wappu population, the unbeatable wappu atmosphere alongside making the wappu video and reflecting on the theme of wappu. Her favourite wappu memory Noora describes as follows: “In 2022 I got to celebrate my first proper student wappu and I realised how big and cool this thing was! It was also cool to accomplish the Emäteemu last year, when I acted as TREY’s Chair. It took a lot of calendar control and resilience, but I succeeded.”
The Biggest Wappu in Finland is organised by a Wappu team, which consists of TREY’s Wappu directors, events organisers, as well as Wappu secretaries and the Minister of Culture of the Teekkari Union of Tampere.
