Welcome to kick off the academic year 2025-2026 of Tampere University with a real Boom Kah! On Tuesday 2 September, the doors of Fame Club will open for an unforgettable party where our university community, both students and staff members alike, can start the academic year together!
To kick things off, Wikirock will warm up the partygoers with their civilizing rock performance. Then, the Deans of Tampere University will face off on stage in a show unlike any other!
Robin Packalen, one of Finland’s most popular artists since 2012, will entertain us as the main artist of the Academic year Kick-off party! During his career, 26-year-old Packalen has released five multi-platinum albums, and his music has been streamed more than 500 million times in total, which strengthens his position in the top ranks of Finnish pop music.
A more detailed schedule of the event will be published in early autumn. The opening day and week of the academic year will feature more exciting things, as well – stay tuned!
Ticket sale
The ticket sale for the Academic year Kick-off party takes place during orientation week in Kide.app. The ticket price and more detailed ticket sale schedules will be published in early autumn.

The Academic year Kick-off party will be held at Fame Club, which has unobstructed access from Koskenranta. There is an elevator in the lobby to access the entrance floor. Fame Club has an accessible toilet. Please tell us about your accessibility needs when buying a ticket, so we can take the best possible care of it!
