🏁 Welcome to TREY’s Newcomers’ Orienteering 2025! 🏁
Newcomers’ Orienteering is TREY’s grand 1500-person event for new freshers and exchange students that will take place on Wednesday 27.8.2025! The newcomers are set off in teams from Keskustori, and they go around different checkpoints organized by associations operating within TREY, completing tasks and collecting points. The teams with the highest tally are rewarded at the afterparty in Fame Club (Satakunnankatu 18)! 🏆
The Newcomers’ Orienteering is open for all first-year students – also in master’s degrees as well as autumn semester exchange students – in Tampere University. The event is free of charge for the participants, but there is a limited number of tickets available for the afterparty.
Enrolment and schedule
Enrolment to Newcomers’ Orienteering starts on Monday 18 August at noon (12:00) and ends on Sunday 24 August at 11:59 p.m. (23:59) or when the event is full. Keep an eye out on Welcome Week! You can enrol and get afterparty tickets on kide.app via this link.
You can enrol as a group or jump into the adventures with a New Friends group. If you’re enrolling as a group, you should have 3 to 5 members. Pick a person from the group who will enrol the entire team. The team should have a name. Enrolment to a New Friends group happens individually and the groups are formed at the start in Keskustori.
The starting times are every 15 minutes from 15:00 to 17:00, and you will be able to request for a specific starting time when you enrol. We will attempt to honor these requests, but due to the size of the event, we may not be able to fulfill all of them. The checkpoint tour must be started at the designated starting time. The teams will have approximately three hours to complete checkpoints, and the checkpoints close at 20:00.
The schedule for the afterparty will be released in August.

There is an accessible route available for the checkpoint tour. The afterparty will be held at Fame Club, which has unobstructed access from Koskenranta. There is an elevator in the lobby to access the entrance floor. Fame Club has an accessible toilet. Please tell us about your accessibility needs when buying a ticket, so we can take the best possible care of it!
