This page includes information on the past changes in the university’s information systems and the deployment of Sisu.
The winds of change will blow again in August, as the university community will be moving to a new, joint information system! Sisu is an information system for teaching, studies and administration that will be launched for the whole university community in August. Personal Study Plans (PSP), course enrolments, study credits, degree certificates and electronic services will all be in Sisu. Sisu will replace the following systems: NettiOpsu, Opiskelijan työpöytä, POP, ROCK, Oprek ja HOPS. The changeover will have an effect in the community’s everyday functions – a great deal of information will be transferred from the old systems into the new one, so this will cause a maintenance break in the electronic services in the summer.
The teaching schedules for the city centre and Kauppi campuses for 2019–2020 are already in Sisu, and the first-year students on these campuses are already using Sisu to plan their studies. All students will get to log on to Sisu during this spring.
The deployment of Sisu in a nutshell
The launch of Sisu and the resulting change in study information systems will be significant from the students’ perspective particularly in these two areas:
- Maintenance break: The university information systems will be completely closed from 18 June to 4 August. Hervanta systems POP, HOPS and Kaiku will be closed and removed from use after the maintenance break. In the city centre, Nettiopsu, OTP, Tenttis, Kurssipalaute and Harri are closed. All students’ information will be transferred into the new systems from 22 June to 6 July.
- Graduation: If you wish to graduate this spring, you must submit your diploma applications by 27 May. It’s not possible to graduate in the spring term after 17 June. Diplomas won’t be granted in July. Information on graduation deadlines in the autumn will be updated here on the Intranet.
