A tutor is in an important position in supporting the arrival of a new student into Tampere University. Their job is to welcome them into the university, the faculty and the department. Consequently, the tutor offers expertise and experience on other facets of student life in Tampere. All tutors will receive training which includes e.g. group management and communication skills. In addition, you will get to know the new students right away!
The application period for tutors is 28 January – 25 February 2019. The applications are submitted through the website of the Student Union (TREY) behind this link. The application period is the same for both national and international student tutoring. National tutoring is done in Finnish, but international student tutors work in English, gathering important international experience in guiding incoming exchange and degree students through the start of their studies. Please note that national and international student tutoring application forms are separate and campus-specific (forms for national tutoring can be found here. NB! Only in Finnish!) Be sure to select the correct form based on your campus.
