TREY’s equality plan was approved in 2019 and now in 2022 it is time to update the equality plan. In the first phase of the update, we want to gather initiatives and aspirations from our student community for the new equality plan. Do you think there is something missing from the equality plan? Now is a great time to make an impact!
Following the initiative round, student union officers will work on the first draft of the document. It will then go through an extensive comment round within the community. Following the comment round, further amendments will be made to the plan based on the comments, after which the document will be submitted to the Council of Representatives for consideration and approval in autumn of 2022.
TREY has many steering documents and those need to be taken into account during the update of the equality plan. The equality plan needs to be in line with other steering documents. Other guiding documents can be found on TREY’s website here. A particularly important guiding document is the policy paper, which defines the things that the Student Union pursues. The Equality plan complements this document and the equality plan must not conflict with the Policy paper. You can TREY’s Policy paper here.
