TREY gave a statement on the need for amendments in the Degree Regulations and Assessment Policy

Tampere University is evaluating the need for amendments in the Degree Regulations and Assessment Policy. We students also expressed our opinions for the evaluation. We collected feedback for the statement from subject associations and individual students. Thank you to everyone who gave comments! We have tried to acknowledge all comments in the statement as thoroughly as possible.

We students brought up almost 40 needed amendments in total. The needed amendments included things that concern the organising of electronic skills demonstrations and general accessibility and the clarifying of ambiguous schedules in the regulations and guidelines. We also highlighted the importance of communications about matters that concern students and guidance during studies.

Annika Nevanpää, chair of TREY’s board, describes the statement: “There is a real need to update the Degree Regulations and Assessment Policy. The purpose of the proposed amendments is to harmonize the treatment of students regarding e.g. study guidance and the right to flexible study.”
