New student, welcome to the first big event of your amazing fuksi autumn! TREY’s Newcomers’ Orienteering is a grand 1,500-person event for new students that will take place on 28 August 2024. In the event, new students are set off in teams from different starting points and they go around different student association checkpoints, where they complete different tasks and collect points. The teams with the highest tally are rewarded at the night’s closing party at Tullikamari’s Pakkahuone!
The Newcomer’s Orienteering is open for all first-year students in Tampere University, both first-year bachelor’s and master’s degree students, as well as all exchange students starting in the autumn semester! The event is completely free for all participants and checkpoint organizers.
Signing up
The enrolment to the Newcomers’ Orienteering starts on 19 August at noon and ends on 25 August 2023 at midnight, so be sharp when Welcome Week starts! The enrolment will take place in Kide.app.
Schedule
- Starting point from Keskustori in teams at 15.00-17.00 (3-5 PM)
- Checkpoints at 15.00-20.00 (3-8 PM), three hours per team
- Afterparty at Pakkahuone starting at 20.00 (8 PM)
